


The HSEL has a number of resources to conduct human factor and ergonomic evaluations. Some major capabilities include:
· Noraxon 8 channel EMG system
· Several Biometrics electrogoniometers
· Thermal camera
· Mobile Eye Tracker System
· 5 lb load cells for small force evaluation
· Ergo Intelligence Evaluation Systems
· 3DSSPP program
· AVS Visualization Software
· Basic strength and anthropometric measurement systems
· Basic noise and lighting assessment systems
· Statistical analysis software (SAS, MatLab, etc.)
Additionally, the HSEL works in close collaboration with CAVS providing additional capability including:
· Driving Simulator
· Noraxon telemetered EMG system
· 16 Camera Motion Capture System
· Gypsy Suit
· NVivo 8 Software Package
· The Observer Software Package
Other capabilities also exist providing student and faculty researchers the ability to conduct a host of ergonomic studies. The Industrial and Systems Engineering Department also provides support for the construction of testing apparatus.
